Institutes

An institute is the container for everything you do as a teacher — classrooms, questions, papers, series and scheduled exams all belong to one. Creating one is the first thing to do after signing up.

Create an institute

From Institutions, select Create and fill in the form. You can belong to more than one institute; the list shows all of yours.

Your institute also appears on the public Community page, where students can find it.

Settings

Institute → Settings covers the institute's details and its current plan. Edit institute changes name, description and the rest; changes are live immediately.

Members

Two member lists sit at institute level:

  • Teachers — co-teachers across the whole institute
  • Students — every student in the institute

These are institute-wide. Each classroom has its own separate lists — see Classrooms.

Plans

Settings → Upgrade subscription shows the available plans and what you are on. Plan limits govern how much you can create in the institute.
