Scheduling exams
Scheduling is where a question paper becomes an exam a class actually writes.
Schedule an exam
Conduct exam takes:
- the classroom writing it
- the question paper they write
- the start and end time
Save, and it appears in students' Upcoming exams.
Invalid times are rejected — an end before its start, most often. If saving fails on a network error, nothing is half-created; fix the connection and submit again rather than checking for a partial exam.
Manage scheduled exams
Scheduled exams lists everything you have scheduled, with search and sort. From here you can:
- Edit an exam — retime it or point it at a different paper
- Delete one
- View results once students have written it
Editing an exam students have already started will disrupt them. Retime before the start time, not during.
Exam tracker
The Exam tracker covers the whole institute — every scheduled exam across every classroom, in one place. Individual classrooms have their own narrower tracker; see Classrooms.
Results
Open a scheduled exam to see who wrote it and how they did. Results feed the classroom dashboard's pass/fail and toppers views.
OMR
Scheduled exams offer OMR download controls for offline answer sheets, for running an exam on paper and capturing the results afterwards.
